The Swimming Pigs and Other Things...

That's a face only a mother could love!

OK...Kim's back in the States for a couple of weeks.  So here I am anchored in Big Major (just west of Staniel Cay in the Exumas), and the entertainment is the famous swimming pigs.  Mind you...they do swim...in deep water if necessary.  There haven't been many cruisers here yet, so I think they are getting a little hungry.  They are very aggressive.  They start coming our when you are getting near the beach, and will jump into the dinghy to get food.

So, I took up some "food" for them.  Leftovers and scraps from making coleslaw...and various other items.  Well, out they came and in full force.  I tossed the food into the water to divert them.  It worked!  I should show them the posters for the New Year's Pig Roast.  I wonder which one will be the guest of honor...

Fine Lion and Sapphire then went down to Black Point (11 miles) to do some hunting.  I was getting a little bummed out because we were running into more sharks than fish to shoot.  They were gettin' into our space!  We hit it on the third attempt.  So, last night we had a fish and lobster dinner.  That's always good!

Today is laundry and a cheeseburger at Lorraine's Cafe.  It's tough when Kim is away...work, work, work.

More later...

Steve
