This is a quick update to show some pictures of Lorraine’s new baby,
Joshua.He’s a real cutie.He has the greatest smile.The Black
Point All Age School has a Thanksgiving Dinner the Saturday after Thanksgiving every year.It’s a
big deal and has adults, kids, and guests all eating turkey, ham, mac ‘n cheese, and peas ‘n rice.
They even
have skits.Lorraine’s mom got all dressed up for this event.When we got there,
we saw lots of the ladies all dressed up.It was a neat event.It was also the same
night as a birthday celebration for Joan.She is a great bartender at Staniel Cay Yacht Club.We were invited.I guess we spend too much time at the bar at the YC…go figure.
There was a boat wreck Saturday night late at Staniel Cay on that same night.It
was a busy night…lots of things going on!I suspect it’s a result of too much partying.It’s a tender to a Mega Yacht.I’ll bet there’s a good story there.I’m not sure if there were significant injuries.
Kim flew out
Monday morning and made it back to the US safely.Fine Lion and Sapphire are anchored in Big Majors near
Staniel Cay.This is the spot that has the famous swimming pigs.They are a little aggressive
this year.Kim has decided to have nothing to do with them…she doesn’t want to have a pig
sitting in the dinghy with her.No sense of adventure.
So, while Kim is “off island”, I’ll
probably have to do some projects.That’s the definition of cruising: “Working on your boat
while in exotic places”.Today it’s a little hot and the water is 79 degrees.I
think swimming will be a good “boat project”…maybe go to the YC for a Kalik…who knows.

PS: Wow...I'm doing this update at the
bar at the YC. They have a big Pirate Party every year two days before New Year's Eve. Well..evidently Kim's costume
last year made a big impression...she's on the Poster advertising this year's party! She has a new career as a "Party
Model"! Neat...income opportunities.
