OK, so I’m sure many
of you are asking, “What will Steve and Kim do on St. Patrick’s Day”? You probably feel
we’ll miss out on the parties that will be held in the US. Poor us!
Well, you are wrong! Even down here in the Islands, we can
find a St. Patty’s party. We’re on our way to Eleuthera and the Abacos, but are in Staniel
Cay at Big Majors. Actually, we are waiting out a big blow to subside before getting on the move again.
So with nothing special to do, we went to the St. Patty’s party at Sampson Cay Club. We’ve
been there a few times this year and are VERY WELL known there.
It was fun. Jerry, the bartender, was dressed up like a Leprechaun
and sampled each and every drink he made that day. Lunch was a traditional corned beef and cabbage.
The bar was great with appetizers that were brought out by the chef from time to time. They were
wings, conch, and fish. Check out the pics of our “celebration”. We
ran into a friend from Annapolis at the “party”. Again, it’s a very small world.
Since the wind was up, it was a very wet dinghy ride
back to Fine Lion at the Big Majors anchorage. Oh, by the way, there is now a little baby pig to compliment
the other swimming pigs. He doesn’t swim yet, however. As you may know, Amy and
Scott went a couple of times to feed the swimming pigs when they were here for Valentines Day. I guess
there was lots of love in the air because one of the pigs had piglets. I think Scott and Amy may be responsible
for this.
We’re at Warderick Wells
today to wait out the blow before heading off to Eleuthera. As always, we’ll keep you posted on all
the excitement going on down here.
