Kim's Conch Lesson

Kim decided to learn how to clean a conch at the Chat ‘n Chill on Volleyball Beach.  Johnny gave her the lessons when we ordered a Conch Salad.  Conch is one the mainstays in the Bahamas.  It is great tasting and FRESH.

A conch salad is made with raw conch that is chopped up with onions, tomatoes, green peppers, lots of salt, some hot peppers, and then covered with squeezed lime and orange juices.  It’s sort of a Bahamian ceviche.

Johnny cleaned the conch for our salads and showed Kim how to do it.  Now all we need to do is go out and get our own conchs snorkeling and Kim can “Make ‘de salad, mon”.

Check it out…
