Our last weekend on the Chesapeake was one of the greatest of all time! We spent it with Scott and
Amy. Scott brought his fishing boat to Dunn Cove on the Eastern Shore. Friday night was a fantastic dinner of
steaks and lamb rib chops.
Saturday was the "Fishing Trip". Scott took
Kim and Steve live lining for Rockfish. First you catch your bait...6-9 inch Spot. That's a lot of fun by
itself. You then find the Rockfish via the fish finder, and use the Spot as live bait. It's a little tricky
since you have to let the Rock take the Spot whole. When it's in the Rock, you set the hook and the fun begins!
We caught our limit with an hour, and still tossed 8 back. Kim then learned how to fillet a fish from
Scott. Obviously, dinner Saturday night was fresh Rockfish (for those of you from a different location, they are also
called Striped Bass, or Stripers).
